Q: Why is A & D's vintage clothing considered superior?

A: We never buy baled, or mixed vintage (sight unseen) lots at A & D! All our merchandise is handed-picked by our knowledgeable buyer (who doubles as the owner of the company). She was a mass-market clothing designer for 27 years before opening A & D and keeps her finger on the pulse of today's fashion trends, as well as keeping our warehouse stocked with the trends of yesteryears. We also meet the need of our clients by allowing them to send us pictures, email, text, and call-in their wish lists. Quality is a top priority, garments with holes, stains, smells, broken zippers, and missing buttons are deemed inappropriate for A & D's warehouse stock.

 

Q: Is vintage clothing sized differently than modern day clothing?

A: Yes! Traditionally vintage clothing runs somewhat smaller in size. All merchandise sold on our website is measured lying flat. We suggest that you measure a well-fitting garment in your wardrobe and compare to our listed measurements for correct sizing

 

Q: Is there a minimum purchase requirement to buy the merchandise offered online?

A: No! The minimum purchase required only applies to wholesale clients shopping at our Warehouse. Online customers may buy as much or as little as they desire from the garments offered in our web store.

Q: Can online shopping customers contact A & D with garment requests?

A: Yes! Although we can't make any promises regarding sizes, colors, or silhouettes, we take pride in finding what our customers are most interested in purchasing. Please feel free to email us at info@advintageclothing.com with questions, wish lists and photos.

 

Q: As a retailer or other business professional that utilizes vintage clothing, can I buy from your online offerings at a wholesale price?

A: No, the merchandise selected for our web store is sold at the listed price only, which is often below retail. Online pricing is non-negotiable. Wholesale clients are encouraged to call the warehouse, as we frequently have similar offerings in our massive vintage inventory.

 

Q: How is Shipping and Tax handled when purchasing from A & D’s online shop?

A: We provide free shipping to addresses within the USA and buyer pay for international shipping charges. We attempt to ship items within two to three business days of payments. International sales may take additional time to process. Insurance is available upon request; for an additional cost. Buyer is responsible for all incurred customs charges, taxes, and fees.  A & D Wholesale Vintage Clothing LLC® is not liable for any damages incurred during shipping or lost packages if the buyer does not opt for insurance. We will gladly combine postage on multiple overseas purchases. Please verify that your address is updated and correct. We ship to the address listed on your order. Please double check your address to ensure your purchase is sent to the correct location. You will be responsible for the shipping costs to resend the item to the correct address. Merchandise shipped to addresses within the State of California will be charged the current Los Angeles sales tax. Orders shipped to addresses outside the State of California will not be charged local sales tax.

 

Q: What is your On-Line Shop Return and (or) Exchange Policy

A: A & D sells vintage/secondhand merchandise. Our staff inspects all garments before posting to our website. All flaws are stated in the description. You should expect minor signs of age or wear when purchasing vintage/secondhand. All our items are final sale, meaning not returnable, nor exchangeable. As the Buyer, you are responsible for reading descriptions and measurements and asking questions before making a purchase. In the rare case that we make a mistake in the listing, please contact us within 48 hours of receiving the item and we will do our best to work with you under the following guidelines.

Mistakes in the items listed description are the only exception to our No Return, No Exchange Policy.

You may not return/exchange an item because of size issues, so make sure you thoroughly check the sizing information provided.

Colors may vary slightly between computer monitors settings; you may not return/exchange an item for color variance.

 

Q: Is the A & D Vintage Warehouse ever open to the public?

A: No, not at this time. The public may only shop and purchase through our online store.

 

Q: Who can shop at the A & D Warehouse?

A: The Warehouse is still Wholesale only, and by appointment only, for buyers to purchase vintage for resale, or to use for other business purposes. All appointments are arranged in advance. For visits Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9 am - 3 pm there is a minimum purchase requirement of $250. After hours and weekend, warehouse appointments are sometimes available and have a minimum purchase requirement of $500. Please contact management at 1 (310) 701-5126 for all wholesale inquiries.

 

Q: Does A & D sell vintage clothing by the pound?

A: No, all our vintage is sold by the piece. Prices vary depending on age, rarity, and label.

 

Q: Does A & D purchase vintage items from individuals?  

A: Yes, as long as the vintage item(s) meets our vintage standards. We purchase vintage pieces, as well as large collections, dead stock, and entire Estatesale clothing contents, we also take donations and will consider trades. Quality is of the utmost importance. We only purchase true/authentic vintage merchandise and prefer they be clean and damage free. We do not accept walk-ins at the warehouse, so please call 1 (310) 701-5126 to discuss in advance.
